And they haven’t held back. The game is stuffed full of real video clips from the movie and subtle references in the graphics, plus of course, all the main characters decorate the reels: Neo (Mr Anderson himself!), Morpheus and Trinity taking on the evil Agent Smith.
If you loved the movie and liked playing online slots, then you’re bound to have a whale of a time in The Matrix!
Best Bits
This is a game for fans of The Matrix – while it is a very impressive slot in its own right, there’s nothing groundbreaking regarding game mechanics or payouts, which means there are probably better options for neutral players.
If you are a bit fan, however, then you’ll love the movie cut scenes, sound bites and, of course, the bonus features available.
Bonus Content
Neo himself acts as the game’s wild symbol, and landing 3+ of those in a single spin will entitle you to one of two rewards:
- Unlimited free spins with sentinel wilds
- Eight free spins with added Mr Smith symbols
You remember the sentinels, right? Big nasty flying machines that try to destroy the city of Zion? Well, in the first bonus they climb across the reels creating a myriad of extra wilds! Once 6+ sentinels are on the screen, that round ends.
The other fun bonus feature is the Déjà Vu Shuffle. What happens is that reels 1 and 5 become completely wild and all symbols in-between shift positions to form winning combos!
